Not to Proud....to be VERY PROUD!

I am not a "Proud" sort of bragger type person. HOWEVER...this visit to see my Sister bemome an Officer in the Air Guard made me the most proud I have ever felt in my life and made me want to brag about it a little.......well maybe a lot. Enjoy the pics of my visit to Tennessee.
My nephew Louis....I love him so much and he is so cute. I think he resembles Cacey at this age.
Jesse is so big and STRONG!! He is playing football this was a gift they gave Jeannie as a late Birthday celebration....she loved it.
These two birds really....I MEAN REALLY missed eachother.

It was so good to see Jeannie I felt like I coulnt hug tight enough or long enough....She looked so great!!!!!!!

On "Official Open House" Jeannie showed us her room and EVERYTHING that had to be PERFECT! Amazing this was the same girl who drove me CRAZY for being a MESSY MESSY PERSON. WOW....
Everything had to be so many inches apart...from the wall....tucked tight....cleaned off....dried off...what stress! And she did it for 6 LONG weeks.
Everything mostly out of her room this is where she lived for 6....did I mention LONG weeks.
In front of her "dorm" / living quarters. Check out the cool purse she got to carry, wink wink.
This was for Jeannies Award Banquet. Out of 115 candidates 89 were able to graduate. Jeannie was awarded for being able to perform @ 95% of her physical fitness requirements. I think that was about a gazillion push ups, thousands of running miles, and I forget what else. I would probably be in the 1% of that test. She is amazing!
Isnt this a great picture? Jesse and Louis did very well with all the "timed" events. I loved being with them.
Here they are....and Yep she got em'.
Banquet table setting
Talking to my dad...this was such an emotional day. We really wish he could have been there.
After her "State of Oath"....kinda blurry but you get the idea...
So serious
Her Squadron
This was such a neat presentation....everything on this table symbolized our fallen troops from each branch of the military. Very Sad but very heart felt.
RD looked so handsome in a suit. Jeannie was so happy to be together. She had her friends in NC help him pick out....suit, tie, shirt, socks, and I am surprised NOT underwear.
I'm not sure where Jesse was at this moment....he knew alot of people so he was out socializing....who has time for pictures???
This is a great picture....another guy form Jeannies work also graduatedthe tall guy next to her. The other men are her "bosses"....I wish I could remember their names and titles but I was so impressed that they drove from NC to come see her.
Wow thats alot of ribbon.....
OK...Jeannie and I were very excited because a C - 130 was going to do the "fly over". Since she flew in the C-130's when she was a aero med tech.....so I was soooooo excited to get the picture of the "fly over". Well, when you have a sleeping baby in your arms, with his shoe that fell off in one hand, and a camera in another.....sweating, holding a camera to get the picture....WELLL....this is the sort of picture you get.
During the parade ceremony....Jeannie was the Squadron leader...she is the one up front....what perfect posture....just like my dad.
After their name was read for comissioning they were allowed to ring this cool bell...RD was going to video but he was with the "talking" baby outside...he missed the whole thing he was pretty upset about that.
Mad chills go up my spine!!! What an honor!!
I will NEVER forget this image of Jeannie as she passed me by.
VERY proud of those colors!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all should be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After the parade Jeannie chose RD and I to put her stripes on, I was so happy and could not help but cry.....I hope you enjoyed the pics. I was so blessed to be with Jeannie and her family and I did not take a minute of it for granted. I wish the time would have stood still a little longer. I love you J and can not tell you enough how very very proud I am of you!!!!

Much needed blog update!

This will be an update from the end of summer, I will have to get caught up to date over the weekend. The last weekend of summer we visited my cousin Tracy in Broomfield. We had a fun time together.
We went to "The Bay"! We loved it, a fun water park...we are already planning more trips during next summer break!!!
Elyse...she is getting so big we love seeing her and spending time with her!!
We got to pick Elyse up from school, it was fun seeing her school and meeting some of her friends. She goes to a great school.
Here they are my monsters! We came back from Denver on Saturday over Memorial weekend. We wanted to be back for the Balloon Festival. This is Saturday night for the "glow". Cassidy's teeth are blue from a yummy sucker she ate.
Sorry the pictures are out of order...cool slides at The Bay
Yummy Nachos....I could of ate the whole order by myself......I decided it would be better to share!!
Cassidy loved the nachos too. She likes hanging out with me....taking in some sun.
Outside The Bay....BEUTIFUL, BEUTIFUL flowers...we were all ready to jump in.

This cute Chick Balloon was my favorite for the glow.
This guy is a para palegic (spelling). He was great, he came to the kids school to speak about his accident he had as a teenager which made him paralized from the waist down. That did not stop him from doing something he had a passion for.
He was also giving out Balloon Pins to the kids if they came up to him and gave the year the first hot air ballon lifted off. I cant even remember the year....but the kids did.
We tagged along to the balloon glow with our friends the Kuglers, they are so fun to hang out with.
Dan was prepared.....with suckers for the kids.

Here we are with Gramps Monday, Labor day. It has been my tradition to go with my dad every year! He enjoys it as much as we do.

Another great view of the worlds most beutiful mountain....Pikes Peak. Well at least in my book it is the most beutiful. God is so good to let me live here and take in this view daily!!!!
Here he is....ready to go...6:30 am bright eyed and bussy tailed...GRAMPS!
Isnt this beutiful....at a distance at the glow.

Worlds funniest boy....who can hold a hot air balloon in the palm of his hand....what a character!
This lady bug was my favorite for the morning.
Cacey and Jeffery made some new friends....
My friends son Noel is the Chik filet cow... he was extra nice to my bunch!! Thanks Noel!

Here she is worlds most gorgeous gonna be twelve year old. We took pictures for her invitations I made for her big bash. I will post those later.
Cassidy's first day of school. Her teacher is great Mrs. Bryant.
SO COOOOOOOLLLL.....SHE GETS A LOCKER!
She was sure ready for the first day.

This is how we ended our summer....Yep Jeff got a 4 x 5 Elk....glad to have meat in our freezer!! Even though he was gone for Labor Day celebrations I know he really enjoys his time hunting and being with his buddies. But man do we miss him...!!!
More of the glamour girl...

Cassidy will have her party on Saturday. She is so excited...I'm excited for her. I will do more catching up later..........
