Cacey's 5th Grade Thanksgiving Feast

Cacey in line to EAT!! Myself and another "room mom" put together this Thanksgiving Feast for the 5th graders. It went so well. I was so impressed by the kids behavior and gratitude.
The PIE shot...

Cacey serving herself, she is not much of an eater....like her Dad.

I love this girl!

Cacey ate with her friend Nia.
This was Cacey's plate....at first she said "Mom they have corn dogs!" Surprise...it was Corn on the cob.
Me and Marnie...the other "room mom". She was so sweet and sooo helpful. Not the greatest picture of me....sad to say I woke up with a migraine this day.....which has nothing to do with the fact that I look uuuuuggggghhhh.

And this nice mom had to take over the Whip cream....she was having a little tooooo much fun with this job??????
YEP! SURPRISE!!!!! IT'S NOT A CORN DOG!!!
Cacey and Mrs. Baldner. She has been a wonderful teacher for Cacey. FEAST....SUCCESS!

Vetrans Day Parade

Jeff took us all to the Vetrans Day Parade in Down Town Colorado Springs. I am so glad we went!!
Patriotic....we are!!

Let the Parade begin!!

Cassidy wore Jeff's old Army coat....she was pretty proud about that.

Old war machine...
Cool shot of the flag in Cassidy's hair

There were 17 marching bands in the parade....I was impressed by all of them...

We had a fun time I was glad we went out to show support for all our Vetrans....Jeff being one of them. I am proud that he once served our country!

FROM NO BANGS TO BANGS...

Well I suggested to Cass that she needed bangs....so we went for it.
Washed her hair in the sink....like the "professionals" do it....hee heee

And doesnt she look adorable!!

I love the change!

More Fall Fun...

We have taken the kids to the Happy Apple Farm since they were babies for Apples and of coarse Pumpkins. This year we were so happy Gramps went with us.

It was cold and rainey....but worth it.

Had to weigh all our pumpkins...

And this is how much they weighed....how much? I'm not sure because I cant read the scale....terrible photographer....

And home we go.

But not before having a yummy bowl of green chili..mmmmm it was so good. Cacey and I are the only two how had some. Cassidy, and Jeffery shared a giant piece of pumpkin pie.

Oh yeah, Cace had cocoa...

On the ride back home..

We also went to a fall festival my friend Michele invited us to in Fountain...it was fun!

Cacey and Michele waiting in line for a hay ride.

We scrunched together for a pic.

The guys going into a haunted house......ooooooooo

And here they are coming out....they were laughing so I guess it wasnt to scarry....the girls were not up for it.........me either.....CHICKEN
We decided to make our own carmel apples....

Jeffery was ready before we were...

I was nervous about it....that darn caramel would not stick!

Jeff even got in on the act....he did great!

We did pieces....I liked these better....especially with the chocolate.

Wala.....ready to eat.

She just wasnt sure how to go about it.

Hard to take a bite...

We also made muffins for our Halloween goodies to give.

Cassidy and I watched a "Martha" episode on decorating sugar cookies....we took the recipe and made some to give. They were sooooo fun to make, Cacey and Jeffery helped ice them too.

Our neighborhood always does a "Ghosted" tradition where treats are left on the door step of our friends and neighbors secretly. It is so fun and we loved be the ones who ghost!!

So here were our "Ghosted" door step treats we put together, I love this part. The kids like the part of ringing the door bell of our neighbor , leaving the treats and running away without being caught. FUN FUN FUN!!!
