Mothers Day...
Camp Shady Brook...
Camp Shady Brook....When my sister and I were kids we went to this same camp....it has been so neat to see Cacey and this year Jeffery at the same camp! Here the kids are saying grace before entering for dinner. The weather was perfect!!!
Had an evening campfire with the traditional "camp" songs. I loved every minute of it!!! The camp guides were great!!!!!!
Here is Jeffery and Coach Kay participating in all the songs.
Whooooaaaa, they were really getting into it!
Jeffery and one of his budies Johnathan
They sang Happy Birthday to Jeffery and tradition is....if it is your birthday you have to kiss the "MOOSE" which was actually an Elk.
These are the cabins we stayed in which from what I remember are an upgrade from when we were kids.
Jeffery did some wall climbing.
Looking a bit scarry....they should have never said..."don't look down"Jeffery's Party...
Made these cute goodie bags for Jeffery....idea from a blog of coarse.
Harper stayed with me in my room while I was busy busy!! She is just a doll!!! Had to get a blanket for her she was shivering in the basement. Still hasn't warmed up here much.
Jeffery wanted a baseball party....so thats what we did...play ball. Check out the cool water bottle labels I did....what would I do without all my blog friends....of coarse these are people I do not know but in my own blog world they are MY friends.
Jeff pitched to all the boys...it was pretty cold but I thinkthey still had fun playing....the kid in the back is Bill's son (came from Pueblo), so of coarse it is about 10 degrees warmer up there. We were so happy they came!!
Our son at bat!
Gramps came and watched too.
Yaaaaayyy! Gramps gave us a lift home to prepare "baseball" food.Jeffery turns 10...
Just on time Jeffery was the "Star of the Week" in his class for his birthday...Here is the poster he made....notice that he named his Hero....."Dad"....couln't get any better than that if you ask me!
Birthday morning...
I made cupcakes for Jeffery to take to his class....
Here he is....looking rather old....
Gramps brought Jeffery a great ice-cream cake.....I got really....really sick the morning of his birthday so I missed out on cake and a school performance...first ever that I missed I felt terrible!!! Jeff did a great job at making sure Jeffery was taken care of and that they made it to their performance....I'm soooo lucky for that!!The Boy...The Dad....and a Turkey....
