THE BROTHER AND SISTER FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Cacey and Jeffery's first day of school! They were excited to go back. I love the first day of school and is the sort of kick off of my favorite season. I love the coming of Fall and everything that goes with it!!

Jeffery started 4th grade his teacher is Mrs. Barglowski. Cassidy also had Mrs. B. for fourth grade. This teacher is a perfect match for Jeffery and I am excited about his fourth grade year.

Cace with her teacher Miss. Baldner. Cacey really wanted to be in Miss Baldner's class. I could'nt be happier. Jeffery thinks Miss Baldner is pretty...Cacey's response to that..."go for it Jeffery she's single". AAAAhhhhh Cacey, she never misses a beat. She keeps us cracking up all the time.
Luck Cass, she does'nt start school til after Labor day. Her school is not quite ready???? Middle School. I'm scared about it!!! She spent the day with her buddie Lauren. They are two crazy girls!

It isnt Water World..

Well, our plan was to go to Water World last Thursday, Jeff took the day off and everything. JUST MY LUCK...it has been 100 and over 90 degrees for over a week and the one day we want it to be that hot.......SURPRISE! Yep, rain and only 72 forcast. So we made lemonaid out of lemons.....we went to Manitou Springs. The kids were disappointed but over all I think they had a good day.
This is really the only thing I wanted to buy....should have known it was food. Patsys carmel corn. I remember getting it when we were kids.

Jeff said I should take a picture of the price because he was sure that the price wasn't the same as when I was a kid. INFLATION!! Even happens in popcorn I guess.

I recognized this tree right away. This is a choke cherry tree. My Grandpa had two in his back yard when we were kids and we would climb the trees and pick all the cherries for my Grandma to make pies. Funny how a simple tree will bring back good memories..I love trees!!

This was also a store I remeber going into when I was a kid.
Cacey loved it, there were all sorts of "gadgets" and sort of wierd stuff.

We went into one of the little toy shops, it was soooo fun to look at all the cool "different" toys. Check out all the rubber duckies.

I always knew there was a story behind the "life is good" stuff but I never knew the story.....til today. I stopped and read how life is good was born. Cool story...only wish I would have thought of it first.

Here we are on our way to Manitou....can you see the excitement in everyones eyes. The Water World disappointment was to much for them. I tried to get Jeff in to but I cut him off...ooops.

I liked all these toys too. They were just cute. I was glad that we went to Manitou. Water World....next on our list I guess. Wish me luck!

Penrose Picnic

We had a fun time at the Penrose annual Picnic...but man was it HOT!!! The food was pretty good, it was fun to be out and about and see a few of my co workers/friends outside of work.
Cassidy played the "Troll" game...I thought that was cute.
Cassidy was good at this...she actually stood the bottle up. Look how red her face is. WHEW!
The picnic was held at our new hospital, St. Francis Medical Center. It is a beutiful hospital. Amazing how much money went into this Health care facility.

Yep she made it to the top and this was on her way down. She did great. Even gave up her fudgesicle ice cream to have her turn on the "hard" side of the wall.
Two of a kind....their ice cream was melting as fast as they could eat it. We also took a tour of the hospital before we went home. Very nice!!! I have to say I like the older, "my" hospital, I like that it is old, it's in an old part of Colorado Springs, and it has all my "old" friends who I would not want to leave. Yep the old friends are my friends V and M, you know who you are. M and I are sure to retire together even though we are constantly thinking of how we could leave our "old" hospital. Oh well, Gods plan not ours.
